Omleila is a research fellow and Ph.D. student at the division of HCI at the University of Salzburg, Department of Artificial Intelligence and Human Interfaces. She holds a Master’s degree in UX and Interactive Media Design from Södertörn University, Stockholm, Sweden, and a Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Design from Art University of Tabriz, Iran. Through her Ph.D. project, she troubles design by reimagining the interaction dynamic between doctors and patients with menopausal conditions within an online space and by a critical approach to gender and bodies. With a pluralist vision, she is interested in exploring other somas in the design process to highlight marginalized bodies and emotions.

As one of the five doc.hci PhD students, Omleila works on the topic of Work.
