Alina Itzlinger is Postdoc at the Center for Human-Computer Interaction. She holds a Master’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Salzburg and finished her PhD in Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Salzburg in 2018. In her research, Alina explores diverse ways of how people engage with technology, involving theoretical accounts towards technology appropriation and technology un- and non-use. She is curious to gather a deeper understanding of creative and re-purposive ways of technology (un- and non-)use  that deviates from the usage that was intended by the designers of computational artefacts. Thereby, she considers the  meandering between use, un- and non-use as an active and embodied means of engaging with the material world.
