From the 22th until the 25th of September 2025, one of the PhD students, Eleni (Helen) Stefanidi, attended the MobileHCI 2025 conference in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt. On the 24th of September, she presented the paper “You are making things AR-kward: Exploring Augmented Reality In-the-Wild.” that she co-authored with fellow PhD student Jan-Hendrik Sünderkamp under the supervision of Markus Tatzgern, Alina Itzlinger and Alexander Meschtscherjakov.
This paper dives into how an AR headset (Meta Quest 3) is perceived and experienced by both AR users and non-users in two real-world outdoor contexts: outdoor presentations and shopping at a farmers market.
