Markus Tatzgern is FH-Professor, head of the Department of Game Development and Mixed Reality and key researcher at the multi-disciplinary research group Realities MediaCube at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences. He is principal and co-investigator in multiple interdisciplinary research projects and currently supervises three PhD students. He has a computer science background and received his M.S. and Ph.D. from the Graz University of Technology. He was member of the Christian Doppler Laboratory for Handheld Augmented Reality developing novel visualization and interaction methods for mobile Augmented Reality platforms. His research focuses on developing advanced visualization and interaction techniques for Augmented and Virtual Reality that allow users to intuitively explore and access information.
